Sights

During the Spirit of the Red River Cruise, you will be able to learn about the history of the river as a logging hub along with its transition to the modern economy fueled by the casino industry on board riverboats. You will be able to see some of the nostalgic paddle-wheelers which will now serve as floating casinos. Guests will often spot a lot of wildlife in the wetland habitats of Cross Bayou and Red River, which will host a lot of water snakes, turtles or alligators, and also plenty of bird species like blue herons, white egrets or kingfishers. Along natural sights will sit man-made ones, which will include a few historical bridges: the swing-type KCS and Southwestern Railroad Bridges; the Texas Street Bridge; and the Oil Railroad Swing Bridge.

The Spirit of the Red

The Spirit of the Red will be able to host a group of maximum of thirty five guests. A large observation deck will provide wonderful landscape views, while panoramic windows will allow for sightseeing from inside.
